Regular
tests are taken for children's
motivation and to imbibe instruction on
a regular and continuous basis. We
constantly monitor the progress and
placing of all our students. There are
staff timetabled to help individuals
with literacy skills, and many of the
academic departments provide extra
tutorials, either during the year or
before examinations.
There is a firm school-wide policy on
setting and assessing prep (homework),
which requires monitoring by the House
staff during the 2-hour Prep time in the
evening (or by parents in the case of
day students).
Detailed progress reports
are shown to the parents after each
examination in Parent Teacher Meetings
to keep them informed of their
children's performance in different
spheres of school life. The school is
arranging to post the marks of the
examinations of all the students on the
website for the parents (Career
Counseling sessions are held for
students of senior classes to make them
aware of the opportunities available for
further studies and prospective careers) to keep a
regular check on their child's progress.
Students are streamed from class IX
upwards in Science or Commerce streams
to enable targeted teaching to take
place. The school uses a combination of
diagnostic tools to identify the precise
needs of students, then places each
student in courses of study designed to
help them achieve to the best of their
ability. |
